D.A. 5

 This assignment was an analysis of the social and economic schizm between urban people during the turn of the century. This was an interesting assignment for me, because I discovered things that I had never considered before, like exactly how hard life was for immigrants and African Americans. This contributed to my education in several ways, one being that it helped shed new light on the research process. Looking for information has always been pretty cut and dry for me, however in this case, I was able to use my own ancestors as examples. This made me realize that there is always something new to learn, and a new way to learn it. Another way this contributed to my education is the application of writing techniques. I was able to create a great paper with methods I developed myself from honing skills of previous assignments. I have gained confidence in my writing, and will be able to apply my techniques to future projects.
